Dear CBS, your racist Asian stereotypes are all wrong.

I watched Mike and Molly last Monday and among the crude tasteless jokes was a line about their Asian neighbor eating pets and building railroads. Now I understand that there's less risk for you making racist jokes about Asians than African Americans, but here's some pushback from me.

As an Asian born in the United States in a city with few Asians, I grew up with constant racism, from being asked for rice to having nonsensical "ching chong" sounds yelled at me. It lowered my self esteem, increased my sensitivity and elevated my anger.

Twenty five years later I see that you continue to perpetuate the racism and stereotypes that I grew up with. I see it in your shows such as Mike and Molly and 2 Broke Girls. How disappointing that so little has changed. People watch your show with the racist stereotypes. Some are offended but others laugh and continue to believe it is acceptable.

Not only are your racist Asian stereotypes unacceptable, they are just plain wrong. None of my ancestors have worked on a railroad. I have resisted eating any of my pets. I am a little lazy. I never listen to my parents. I am terrible at math, once getting a "D" in calculus. Despite thousands of dollars invested, I can only play one tune on the piano. And no, it's not Chopsticks. I am not a doctor, dentist, engineer, dry cleaner, or restaurant owner. I drive rather decently.

There are still things for me to work on. I do like Martial Arts. I sometimes pronounce r's as l's when I'm tired..And in public I'm a little shy and have a hard time voicing my opinion. But I'm working on it.

So I'm saying I dislike the racism on your shows, especially against Asians. I don't have to watch them and either do others.
