Guppyfriend!

I've been thinking a lot about synthetic microfiber pollution lately. Apparently these microfibers come off our synthetic clothing when we wash them and make their way to the ocean, possibly affecting wildlife. Since I own a lot of synthetics, I felt like I should do what I can.

Enter Guppyfriend!

It's a synthetic washing bag that will trap microfibers and keep them from getting into the water. I ordered mine from Patagonia. I will post an update once I've used it awhile and built up some trapped fibers!

In the future when I need more clothes I'll probably focus on natural fibers like organic cotton, wool and hemp.
