October books

Books read this month.

Vince Flynn’s denied access by don bentley. I don’t know what shorties don bentley hangs around but he describes Mitch rapp’s Swiss girlfriend Greta as a statuesque 5’8”. Oh Internet says db is 5’8” so it’s starting to make sense. He also refers to Greta as a Nordic beauty however Switzerland is not a Nordic country. Ironically due to the plot Latvia supposedly has the tallest women.

Speaking of modern day this is part of Mitch rapp’s origin story but chapter 1 says present day. It would be less confusing for the reader to give the actual year to create the setting from the beginning of the book.

Chapter 11 rapp has a craving for good old fashioned American drip Java but in chapter 33 he had developed a penchant for Parisian coffee.

The letter carrier by Francesca giannone. After a long absence a man comes back to his Italian village with his outsider wife.

Cry havoc by jack carr. Terminal list fans go back in time to the Vietnam war to follow Reece’s dad. I wasn’t planning on reading this because I didn’t think it would be interesting but turned out to be one of his better books.

The secret of secrets by Dan brown. The secret is the ex wife didn’t write this one.

Wild reverence by rebecca Ross. Prequel to divine rivals and ruthless vows. I thought it was better.

The rook by Daniel O’Malley. In progress. An unserious supernatural spy novel.
