The loot

Thanks Mrs. Claus! I was either really good this year or you were really bad!

1. 100% natural rubber flipflops made in Thailand. A staple that I wear out about every two years. Supposedly biodegradable. Will prob end up being my daily 3 season choice.

2. Car sunshade made in USA. Replaces free poster board sign cut to windshield size and now recycled.

3. Sheepskin slippers made in USA. I don’t know where the sheep are from. The sheepskin insoles can be replaced. I kinda feel bad for the sheep but they are super fuzzy, super cozy and lightweight. My old bean wicked good mocs had bits o’ (honey?) sole breaking off all over the house.

4. titanium 300ml double wall cup made in Japan. This one is a natural titanium color with no handles to start. Smaller to fit a cup holder. Silicone lid so I don’t share my drink with the cats. I will prob retire my 12 year old anodized purple one now with lots of dents and scratches and no handles (a noisy failure point). See the loot 2013.

5. Stainless steel tea infuser for loose leaf tea. Fits my new cup!

6. Accessory zip bag and stickers.

7. Cotton Henley sweater. Not as itchy as wool.

8. Hamnet by Maggie o’Farrell. Cause nothing says merry Christmas like a novel of the plague.

November books and the state of the blog, aka why all the book posts?

Why all the book posts? I don’t want to promote things for you to buy. You can read books for free. There will be occasional repair posts if something breaks and I attempt to fix it. This winter I am promoting a non proliferation treaty between the family regarding gifts. No one really needs or wants anything. There will still be a loot post because Mrs. Claus has refused to partake in these accords.

 1. The watchmaker of filigree street by Natasha pulley. I usually don’t care about a book’s cover but this one is attractive with its seafoam green and shiny gold uh, filigree on matte black background.

2. Exit strategy by Lee and Andrew Child. This is the 30th Reacher book. As ive read through the series at some point I feel like I’ve learned all there is to know about reacher then im just watching him go through some plots. For better or for worse, 65 year old hobo jack reacher does all the usual reacher things.

3. The Sweeney sisters by lian dolan.

4. The strength of the few by James islington. Sequel to the will of the many.

5. Fade in by Kyle mills, author of some Vince Flynn Mitch rapp books. Eh I liked his Mitch rapp books better.
