M.p. Woodward jacks it up again. A review of tom clancy’s terminal velocity, a jack ryan jr novel by m.p. Woodward

I wasn’t too impressed with m.p. Woodward’s previous tom Clancy novel with all the ammunition mistakes, but authors can improve, right? Well, terminal velocity was an entertaining read but still lacks an attention to detail that tom Clancy fans are used to.

Chapter 8 he’s referring to ammunition clips again when he most likely means magazines, unless people really carry spare clips into a fight to reload magazines instead of actual magazines.

A mujahideen owns an old landcruiser truck which turns into a Land Rover truck 12 pages later. He goes to each wheel to “engage the locking differentials”. No. Just no. You might go to the front wheels to engage the hubs so that the front wheels go from freewheeling to being driven so you now have four wheel drive. You can’t lock the diffs from the wheels.

Refers to a f250 as an suv. Talks about locking differentials at all four wheels. Lockers are literally only at the differentials not the wheels. Mixes up names of two characters near the end.

A little research or editing would easily solve these issues. Either way I’ll be there to check out his next Clancy attempt at the library.
